We Are Driven to Ensure You Receive the Best Training and Assessment Experience Every Time
Established in 2008, Somtek Limited is a family run business with its roots firmly embedded in the building services industry. Centrally located in Wishaw, Lanarkshire we have been providing the highest quality professional training and assessment courses to some of the UK’s leading facilities companies since 2012.
Born and bred in the gas industry our lead trainer, Stuart Somerville, has a wealth of working knowledge at all levels within the gas industry. Well respected in industry with over 40 years’ experience he is the author and co-author of five books on the subject sold nationally by the NICEIC.
Working with the NICEIC we developed their managed learning programme for non-domestic gas engineers. Designed to meet the requirements of IGEM IG 1 “standards of training in gas work“, this programme uses robust structured learning methods to ensure the learner receives the highest level training to allow them to work competently and confidently in industry.
With our HVAC and electrical knowledge and experience we have now developed a number of low temperature heating, hot water and heat pump training packages with the NICEIC. Specifically designed to upskill existing fossil fuel plumbing and heating engineers who wish to move into the ever expanding heat pump market. The courses are built around the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) developed by HPA, CIPHE, Beama and GSHPA.
