WHAT water COURSES DO WE OFFER?

Unvented Hot Water Systems

A nationally recognised NICEIC certificated water course designed for experienced plumbers and heating engineers who wants to install, service and maintain vented and unvented domestic hot water storage systems with a stored capacity greater than 15 litres up to 500 litres with a maximum energy input of 45 kW to comply with current building regulations and standards.

Certification must be renewed every 5 years.

Water Regulations and Bylaws

This comprehensive water course is designed for anyone requiring an understanding of the water regulations and water bylaws, in particular those wishing to be approved plumbers or contractors joining an approved competent persons scheme (CPS) or microgeneration certification scheme (MCS). This course is also a prerequisite for our Legionella courses.

It covers the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 (England and Wales), Water Bylaws 2004 (Scotland) and the requirements of WRAS (the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme), of which a majority of UK water companies are members.

Legionella Prevention & Water Treatment

Our legionella prevention and water treatment water course is designed for plumbers, heating engineers, operators and responsible persons to comply with HSE guidance in ACoP L8. There are two available courses, one for persons responsible for the management and operation of water systems under their control to prevent or control the risk of exposure to legionella and plumbers, heating engineers and operatives who carry out work on water systems and tasked with maintaining, cleaning and disinfecting water systems. 

Course does not cover large non-domestic water systems, water towers or cooling systems
